If you’re struggling to lose weight and you think you need to start exercising to shed pounds then I’ve got a great revelation to share that you’re absolutely going to LOVE>> It’s possible to lose weight without the gym, and here’s how.

In this article I’m going to be busting some major myths around exercise and weight loss to fire you up and help you move past feeling stuck about making a change!

Why take advice from me?

If we haven’t met yet, my name is Megan Kerry Wenmann. I’m a nurse and certified plant based health coach and I help busy moms transition to a plant based diet long term so they can lose weight, feel incredible in their body and get back their confidence. All without giving up on tastes or spending hours in the kitchen on meal prep.

Here’s what works for natural weight loss without the gym

I honestly never thought I would be THAT mom!!!

I am actually enjoying high intensity workouts like never before. BUT it’s not because I started off with exercise!!!

After losing over 30 pounds on a plant based diet, it’s become so much easier for me to push past the limits I thought I had. Not only have I lost weight without having to go to the gym but working out became something I wanted to do once my body became lighter.

This was so important to me because I always wanted to be that mom who was able to really engage with her kids!! Chase them around the park…have the ability to keep up in our soccer matches.

We recently moved and at our old house we were really lucky to live right next to a massive field.

We’d go out and kick the soccer ball around and have sprinting challenges..

I’m almost embarrassed to say that when I was my heaviest I wasn’t actually able to keep up with my then 5 year old…who had teeny tiny legs!!

Now that I’ve lost the weight I’m able to enjoy moving my body more and have the energy to explore movement that actually feels good to me – instead of sweating at the gym and hurting for days later…

Soon I’ll be matching those pounds lost with fitness gained 💚💪

What it takes to be successful losing weight without the gym

I’ve been able to help my clients lose the extra weight that makes it difficult to move their body so they can keep up with their kids all by following a whole food plant based diet that’s flexible enough for you to adapt to your family’s needs.

When you lose at least 10 pounds before you start focusing on fitness, movement is so much easier!!

That’s when you can start breaking the old habits, patterns and feelings around uncomfortable exercise and replace them with a new excitement around healthy and fun movement!!
