Today I’m breaking down why making the switch to plant based is not as difficult as you might think and here’s why:

Why women think losing weight on a plant based diet is difficult

You know when I first went plant based I had already been vegan for about 5 years.

I had my routines and I didn’t eat too poorly BUT I was still stuck at the same weight I was after my initial big loss after having my first baby.

I was unhappy with how I felt in my body and I didn’t have the energy I needed to really show up as the mom I wanted to be for the kids.

This is why I’m so passionate about helping other moms as well.

The change you make to your lifestyle impacts more than just your health. It affects your entire family and it determines how you will show up for your children.

If you’ll be that mom who gets up and plays at the park or sits on the bench scrolling your phone.

I’ve lived both of these realities and I can tell you that if I knew then what I know now and what I teach now I wouldn’t have put off making the switch to plant based eating.

My biggest fear when thinking about going plant based was that I would miss out on the comfort foods I loved, it would cost me way too much time meal prepping, and I would be making complicated recipes only to have nobody enjoy them as in the kids at dinner time.

How to easily lose weight on a plant based diet

I’ve come a long way from those fears and using what I learned I’ve developed a system called the Focused Foods First method which is a framework that allows you to eat well and recreate your most treasured family recipes into healthy plant based ones.

  1. Whole foods contain fiber and nutrients that satisfy and flush toxins and fat
  2. Eating whole foods eliminates cravings for sugar and salt
  3. They plan for success using a simple proven frame work like the Focused Foods First method
