The New Year is almost upon us and I am so excited for all it’s going to bring!

This year, I’ve decided to raise awareness on my platforms for Veganuary!

What is Veganuary?

Veganuary is a movement that started in the United Kingdom back in 2014.

The organization encourages people to take a 31 day (and Beyond) vegan challenge.

Their vision according to the Veganuary website is a vegan world led by four platforms: Increasing participation, corporate outreach, raising awareness, and growing the global movement.

I’d say they are doing an incredible job so far!

.

If you visit the about page on their website, you’ll see that in 2019 “…more than a quarter of a million people took our pledge to try a vegan diet, while more than 500 brands, restaurants and supermarkets promoted the campaign, and launched more than 200 new vegan products and menus in the UK market alone”.

I think 2020 is going to be even bigger!

So to help spread the message and reach more people, I am launching a Veganuary guide for the blog and channel.

Starting in January you can expect to see each week with a different theme. Check it out:

Week 1Meat Substitutes
Week 2Egg Substitutes
Week 3Milk Substitutes
Week 4Cheese Substitutes
Week 5 Dessert Substitutes

On the Monday of that week I’ll be releasing a video summarizing what you can use for the replacement of each food group and links to my favorite recipes.

I’ll also be putting together recipe round ups from the best vegan bloggers for each category so you can visit the blog for added support.

On the Friday of each week you can expect a detailed recipe video outlining an easy, family friendly recipe that you can easily incorporate into your meals.

My goal with this is to make it easy for people who may be considering adopting a plant based diet. New vegans and even us veterans can help spread awareness!

Share these recipe posts, videos and the Veganuary challenege to friends and loved ones!

Pssst…..the Veganuary website EVEN has a workplace challenge you can launch at work!!! This is perfect for the New Year, and *might* even help shed a few holiday pounds;)

I’m really excited for the big Veganuary kickoff!!! I’ll see you back here or over on YouTube soon!

If you are looking for a 31 day meal plan to go along with the challenge, have a peek at Yum Vegan Lunch Ideas blog. They’ve put together the Easiest Veganuary Meal Plan that is sure to help you get started!

Until Next Time,
