Crispy BBQ Chickpeas

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees farenheit.

  2. Place the drained and rinsed chickpeas into a medium bowl. No need to dry them.

  3. Sprinkle with the dry spices and salt. Mix to combine.

  4. Add in the maple syrup and liquid smoke. Mix to combine.

  5. Spread the chickpeas out onto a large baking pan, ensuring there is ample space between the chickpeas so steam can escape and make them extra crispy. Be sure to use a liner like this silicone one (affiliate) to make removal easy.

  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes, turning every 20 minutes until crispy.
